PHARA Welcomes Linda Bogerd to the Team

We are pleased to welcome Linda Bogerd, who started on 1 December as a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft within the PHARA project.

Linda’s research focuses on the retrieval of precipitation estimates, using both satellite data and ground-based measurements. Before joining PHARA, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the United States (since October 2024) at NASA and the University of Maryland, where she concentrated on improving snowfall measurement techniques.

She completed her PhD at Wageningen University in 2024, carrying out part of the work at KNMI, with a focus on spaceborne precipitation retrievals from radiometers. She holds a Master’s degree in Climate Physics from Utrecht University.

Within the PHARA project, Linda is based at TU Delft, where she will be working on retrieving cloud and precipitation properties from phased-array radar observations.

We’re very glad to have Linda joining us and look forward to working together.
