On Friday 18 September, the annual Ruisdael Science Day brought together atmospheric scientists and researchers from across the Netherlands to share the latest results and strengthen collaboration within the growing Ruisdael Observatory community.
PHARA was also well represented. While first and foremost active within Ruisdael, consortium members Herman Russchenberg and Marc Schleiss – together with Remko Uijlenhoet and Tworit Dash – actively contributed to the programme. Tworit presented a poster introducing the PHARA project to the Ruisdael community, highlighting how PHARA will become a valuable addition to the Observatory’s atmospheric measurement facilities.
In addition, Marc Schleiss presented the Ruisdael Data Catalog, a central platform that already features over ten campaigns, 161 datasets, 35 registered users and nine data providers. The catalogue ensures data can be easily found and used, an essential step in maximising the impact of Ruisdael research. As Marc put it: “If people can’t find our data, they can’t use it. And if they can’t use it – then we have failed.”
The Science Day highlighted ongoing efforts to advance both scientific understanding and practical applications in atmospheric science, strengthening the collaborative framework for research excellence and societal impact in the Netherlands.
